Body, By God

Oh, Fiddle Dee Dee

In the past 10 days we have been to:

Monday: Verona's Cafe with my Mom
Tuesday: Frogger's with my Mom, last night before she left for PA.  We were supposed to be at LaNuba...
Wednesday: McDonald's with the kids, Mark was working
Saturday: Olive Garden with Mark's brothers, they needed to carb up for the Disney Marathon
Sunday: Thai Palace with Mark's brothers, celebrated them being here
Monday: Chung Xiang Chinese with the kids, Mark was working
Tuesday: Frogger's with Sophie, after horseback, Mark took Nick to Scouts and some fast food.
Wednesday: Wendy's with the kids, CCD night.

Do you see a big problem here?  Holy Cannoli.

Let me state for the record:
-My Mom was here for 3 weeks
-Mark's brothers were in town to run the Disney Marathon
-One is a chef- whole plant food, goodness for the soul, teacher and speaker, motivational team builder.

Yea, I set a good example for my family.  Here lies the issue.  I had company to entertain; I haven't gone grocery shopping since before Christmas; I haven't been downloading my E-Mealz.

Tomorrow.  I mean the "Scarlett O'Hara" tomorrow.   Tomorrow is a new grocery week.  We are changing E-Mealz from a low fat recipe and grocery list to Vegetarian.

I'll let you know how we do with the switch.  I only need 4 days of meat free.  I say that as though it rolls off my tongue with ease.  Only 4 days (flip of the hair).  Humph, I look forward to what tomorrow's list brings.  I look forward to plants making the plate!  I look forward to getting back on track with eating at home!  No excuses.  Tomorrow.

Weekly Healthy Cooking Tip - Enjoy vegetables with texture, flavor and color. When cooking vegetables, add the hardest vegetables first, meaning add the vegetables that will take the longest to cook first (Onions, broccoli, carrots, etc). Then when those vegetables are ¾ finished cooking, add the softer vegetables, (peppers, tomatoes, spinach etc). This will give you a variety of color, flavor, and texture – rather than mushy over cooked veggies. This is ideal for stir-frying, roasting, sauteing, steaming and grilling.

"Tomorrow I'll think of some way... after all, tomorrow is another day."
